ABOUT ME

Cameron Bainger (b. 1994) was born and raised in Miami, Florida and began learning to play the piano at seven years old. He continued to study throughout school and received a scholarship to pursue a degree in Piano Performance at the University of North Florida (UNF) in 2016. He finished his Bachelor's degree and completed a Master's degree in Piano Performance at UNF in November of 2020.

Always wanting to pursue a career as a full-time pianist, he began a job teaching piano at UNF where he soon connected with his future wife. After getting married, he chose to change careers in order to provide a more stable income for his family and chose to pursue a career as a piano tuner. With the advice of Wim Blees, RPT, the piano technician at UNF with over 50 years' experience, he enrolled in the Butler School of Piano Technology.

Cameron has enjoyed developing his career as a piano technician. He is a member of the Piano Technician's Guild (PTG) and attended the PTG's Southeast Regional Conference in February of 2024. Cameron currently works as a tuner and repairman at the University of North Florida under the guidance of Wim Blees. He also services pianos for churches, schools and private residences in the greater Jacksonville area, and has tuned for live events for Beaches Fine Arts Series and the Jacksonville Jazz Festival at venues such as Daily's Place and the Florida Theatre.
